Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday visited Hazratbal shrine on the eve of 'Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi', the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, and reviewed the arrangements made for the devotees.

"Omar reviewed the arrangements put in place by the administration and the Wakf Board for the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi during a visit to the shrine on the banks of Dal Lake," an official spokesman said.

The Chief Minister directed the Wakf board, which manages the affairs of the shrines in the state, and the officers of divisional administration to ensure all facilities to devotees during Milad days.

Omar also stressed on ensuring cleanliness, power and water supply and adequate transport for the people, the spokesman said.
