Two booked for rape in Ferozepur

Ferozepur (Punjab): Two persons were on Sunday booked for raping a girl for two days in Basti Khanuwali area of the district, police said.

On the complaint made by victim's family and the Sarpanch of Kotwal village, a probe was carried out by a police team, after which a case was registered against the two alleged persons, SSP Varinder Pal Singh said.

Accused Ashwani was arrested, while efforts were being made to catch Rafi, the police official said.

According to the complaint, the girl had an affair with a youth and she went to meet him near Satiawala village on January 30.

However, the youth did not turn up and she kept waiting till late evening hours.

Two youths, who spotted the girl, on the pretext of dropping her home forcibly took her to a room in Basti Khanuwali area, where she was raped for two days, police said.

Later, the duo dumped the girl near Zira gate area here from where the victim managed to reach her house, they said.
