Women's western clothing provokes men: MP minister

Indore: In a reference to the July 10 molestation incident in Guwahati, Madhya Pradesh industries minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday said women's conduct should be in "accordance with the Indian culture."

"Women's fashion, lifestyle and conduct should be in accordance with Indian culture," the minister said.

He said women should not wear clothes which "provoke" others.

"Women should dress in such a way that they invoke respect in others. However, unfortunately women are dressing provocatively, which is leading to deviation in society," he said.

I don`t see anything wrong in his statement. He is just trying to say to prevent this crimes women shud wear good clothes. Why this hypocrisy among us.We lock our houses to prevent from thieves but we will not prevent our own body . Thieves and molesters are of same breed. If you can`t cure thieves how can one be sure we can cure Molesters. Laws are at place and will play their role but only after any accident happens. So take this positively , if you are not able to defend yourself then one should wear decent clothes.
