New Delhi: The BJP Sunday organised a NaMo car rally here to reach out to the city`s voters ahead of the General Elections. Flagged off by Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Vijay Goel, the rally started at 9 am from National Victor School at Patparganj in east Delhi and ended at the same spot at 3 pm. It covered parts of east, south and central Delhi including areas like Indraprastha Park, Ashram, India Gate, and Connaught Place. According to the BJP, around 250 cars participated in the rally that was organised by the party`s chartered accountants cell. "There has been overwhelming support from all sections of society for (BJP`s prime ministerial candidate) Narendra Modi as witnessed in this rally," Goel said. The BJP has also been organising NaMo tea parties to increase Modi`s popularity in the city and to cash in on the "tea vendor" jibe from the Congress.
The party has announced it would launch its "Chai pe Charcha" (discussion over cup of tea) campaign across the country in a bid to influence the undecided voters.
