New Delhi: Intensifying the war of words between BJP and JD-U, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday slammed Gujarat Chief Minister saying that his mishandling of Gujarat riots cost BJP power in 2004.

According to media reports, he said that Modi had failed to keep the Raj Dharma during the riots. The JD-U leader also said that former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not happy with the Gujarat CM Narendra Modi and wanted to replace him in 2002.

Reacting to the debate triggered by his secular PM remarks, Nitish Kumar said, “I have said what I have to I stick to my stand on ‘secular’ PM.”

Earlier today, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat backed Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi as NDA's Prime Ministerial candidate and slammed Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for saying that NDA should have a secular PM nominee.

Raising Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's pitch for a secular prime ministerial candidate for 2014 elections, JD(U) leader Shivanand Tiwari also said this morning that BJP will have to decide whether it wants to form a government or remain in the Opposition as the country is not in favour of a "fanatic face".

"BJP had realised in 1996 itself that they cannot form a government in the country on the basis of their hardcore Hindutva agenda and, hence, NDA was formed after it agreed to drop the three contentious issues of Uniform Civil Code, withdrawal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and construction of Ram temple," he said, maintaining that the changed stance had the backing of RSS.

In reply to a question, Tiwari said JD (U) will not compromise on the secular framework based on which it had become a part of NDA. "We will not compromise whether our government remains in Bihar or not," he said.

Tiwari said that few postpoll surveys had pointed out that had the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee "dismissed" the Narendra Modi government after post-Godhra riots, the NDA would not have lost the 2004 general elections.

He said while Vajpayee had asked Modi to follow the 'Raj Dharma' and wanted the government to go, the move was "vetoed" by BJP leaders like LK Advani.

"People who voted for BJP due to liberal face of Vajpayee went away from it after Gujarat riots and the floating votes went to Congress because people do not accept fanatic politics," he said.

"Those people in BJP who want the party to come to power will have to realise that they cannot do it by putting a fanatic face in the front," Tiwari said in an apparent reference to Modi.

Reacting to Tiwari's statement, BJP leader Balbir Punj said, "This is a needless controversy. Nobody has a right in this country to give fatwa as to who is secular and who is not. People have their opinions."

We talk of Muslim killed in Godhra Riot. Did we thought what was mistake those people killed by muslim Mob in Godhra. Prior to 2002 also gujarat have very much effected by riots. It was grave. people were killed in installment. During 2002 onwards there is no riots. Do nt we think on that. Riots take place the government need to prevent. Looking at past of godhra we at Ahmedabad were expecting more trouble at that moment. But Gujarat Police had acted very sharply and control it. Major failure occured in intial stage was due to all of sudden eruption of anger from Hindu which was not expected by any one even we hindu had not thought. In past also hindu remain most of occassion in silent mode. But it was grave instance of Godhra all hindu were not able to understand that whether they will allow to travel we in normal condition or not. One man cannot be potrayed by one colour, There are all faces that should be taken in count.

The fact is that we all are in it and responsible for creating such a charged environment which gives political opportunists to throw a match stick. and all goes to flames. All can be wiser afterwards. Each one tries to justify their own and point fingering at others. And that becomes fully communal battlefield. What we need to learn that if it happens on our watch in our nation its not just a political blot but a danger that has distroyed some of the new countries in Africa and other continents. In many nations across the world the minorities are managed in way where law and order plays a huge role. The political corrupt practices to money interests all know how to covert small incidents into a big political card. So the time has to spend energies to build the nation stronger where law and order is respected. It sound ssimple and diffuclt for those who are at the receiving end. But then a new generation need to start from some where. If we are true Hindu, no one take it away from ourselves.Look at USA, a Black man of slamic origin where they used to be slaves not has a president, how did the USA white Christains achieved this. In UK many MPs and Cabinet people are of Jewish community and muslims as much as Indians are making headways. So we need to stabilise the nation best practical ways.

BJP is not event able to produce a candidate at the 11th hour. It is importing one from the Congress. Neither they are willing to say that Narendra Modi is our leader and let the others do what they like. One, the present leadership is fearful of Modi that he will do some harsh cleaning as he did with keshubhai. Second, they have relied on Anna and Ramdev to do proxies war against the Congress so far and hope that others like Modi will do the dirty work and they will remain in the Centre. Why can not BJP produce some one parallel to Kalam? So what future it will offer India?

Today country wants a string leadership & a good leader who can think above the party & the cast & he is only & only Narendra Modi.

Since last more than 40 years I have been hearing secularism. Can any politician explain about secularism? I hope so many can. When elections are around, these people would start using this golden word. For an example, Congress always use this word to get Muslim votes, Mulayam ji and Mamta ji are good examples. What secularism in their view is : who is speaking against Hindu or Hindutwa is secular, others are not. Can we see any Christian Father or Muslim person are speaking about secularism, not at all. All are speaking and doing the welfare of Muslims & Christians (for an example this congress and other self styled secular parties took 4.5% quota from Hindus’s pocket and gave to their favorite people). Is anybody doing for Hindus.

Majority community has lost more than gain because of this BLOODY Secularism. Let us hope Narendra Modi be the leader of our country for the sake of Majority community.

Shailendra Nagar - vadodara
Now when President is almost ed. The 2014 Elections have became priority and that`s why the minority appeasing game has started ,Nitish Kr is also ready and has started digging old graves. His statements proof that there is only one man in India who is not secular and that is Narendra Modi. He has perhaps realised that his honeymoon with BJP is going to over soon therefore, he is making his real parent ( The muslim) happy. He is ignoring that the Miya in Gujarat now were never so happy as they are now under NaMo`s rule.

RSChauhan - Rewari(Haryana)
There is no NDA and BJB now must beware of NDA allies as all are appotunist and the same they have shown in president poll/candidature.BJP must go alone for 2014 poll with the different agenda as follows. They should end reservation bases on cast, remove brokers from any kind of sale or fix their commision,electrifying/provide good roads in country to reduce petrolium consumption, linking revers for ensuring water supply and to stop bhad. The critics of BJP forget of not following rajdharama by cong in 1984 they are not talking about that and supporting cong.Peoples will teach them a lesson in election with cong. Now is the time to declare Modi for PM post and sut their mouth.Untill bjp will not adopt the diffrent/vibrent stratgey where peoples thing of common growth for all it is difficult to keep the flok together.
