Tech companies unite in support of boy genius Ahmed Mohamed

Texas: Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old bright student in Texas, built a digital clock and brought it to his high school. Never did he know that instead of appreciation, he would get arrested. The principal having mistaken the gadget for a fake bomb called the police- a detention some claim was due to his Muslim background.

Tech companies are now throwing their support behind him and are flocking to the social media to stand by him.

Companies like Facebook, Twitter and Google have now extended invitations for Ahmed to visit their headquarters.

His innovation has caught the eye of these tech companies that are interested in helping stoke Mohamed’s interest in technology. Facebook co-founde and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was the first to show his support. He invited Ahmed to visit the company’s headquarters.

Google was next in line, asking Ahmed to visit the company’s science fair this weekend.

Twitter too made its support evident by making the best offer of the three so far by offering Ahmed an internship.
