Punjab terror attack: High alert across nation, Indo-Pak border vigil stepped up

New Delhi: A nationwide alert has been sounded after terrorists in Army uniform attacked a police station in Punjab's Gurdaspur on Monday.
Three people have been killed in the attack so far while several others have been injured.
The attack took place in Dinanagar town, which is close to the Jammu and Kashmir border.
Shortly after the attack, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that vigil has been stepped up along the India-Pakistan border after the attack.
Singh took to Twitter to confirm the development.

While the Punjab police has sounded an alert in all the police stations, BSF has been put on high alert along the border.
The gun battle is currently on between the terrorists and security forces.
