US Open: Top seed Victoria Azarenka powers into 4th round

New York: Women’s no.1 seed Belarusian Victoria Azarenka made light work of Chinese Jie Zheng roaring her way to 4th round dispatching the 28th seed 6-0, 6-1 in under an hour at the Arthur Ashe stadium. Victoria Azarenka blanked the Chinese star 6-0 in the first set relying heavily on her first serve points. She hit nine winners as opposed to Zheng’s one. Zheng had 10 unforced errors in the first set. The set was wrapped by Azarenka 25 minutes. It the second set, Azarenka finally conceded a game after going up 3-0. Zheng showed lot more intend and aggression in the second set as came up to the net more often putting the top seed under pressure. The Belarusian had nine winners as compared to Zheng’s five and it was Azarenka first serve points again that gave her the maximum points. Victoria Azarenka will now be facing Anna Tatishvili of Georgia in the 4th round.
