Pak govt has `broken Taliban`s back`: Rehman Malik

Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has claimed that the government has broken the back of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan through effective anti-terrorism strategy.

Islamabad: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has claimed that the government has broken the back of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) through effective anti-terrorism strategy, adding that the country is now moving towards the goal of durable peace, political and economic stability.

Malik said the government has controlled terrorism to a "great extent" in Quetta and there is calm everywhere in Pakistan, except for Karachi. He, however, said that the situation in Karachi would soon improve, as the government has adopted effective and rapid response options to eliminate terrorism in the megalopolis, reports The Express Tribune. Malik further pledged to bring peace everywhere in Pakistan at any cost. He also urged the nation to unite for uprooting terrorism and militancy from the country. ANI
