Taliban key commander, 3 others killed in southern Afghan town
Afghan forces raided a Taliban hideout Sunday evening and killed a Taliban key commander along with three of his armed comrades in the southern Zabul province 340 km south of Kabul, a local official said Monday.

Beijing: Afghan forces raided a Taliban hideout Sunday evening and killed a Taliban key commander along with three of his armed comrades in the southern Zabul province 340 km south of Kabul, a local official said Monday.
"Personnel of Afghan police acting upon intelligence report raided a hideout of Taliban militants in Naw Bahar district and killed Mullah Bakht Mohammad along with three of his bodyguards yesterday evening," district governor Wazir Mohammad Jawadi told Xinhua.
He also noted that the operation to eliminate Mullah Bakht Mohammad had lasted for two hours during which no security personnel had been harmed.
Taliban militants fighting the government have yet to make comment.
