Slovakia`s former French Open semi-finalist Dominik Hrbaty announced his retirement from the sport citing the reason as being his wife was due to give birth in December.

Bratislava: Slovakia`s former French Open semi-finalist Dominik Hrbaty announced his retirement from the sport citing the reason as being his wife was due to give birth in December.
The 32-year-old - who reached the 1999 French Open semi-finals and also reached three Grand Slam quarter-finals - made the announcement at an exhibition tournament he played in along with the already retired former world number one Thomas Muster of Austria and Russian former glamour girl Anna Kournikova.
"I`m looking forward to a new chapter. I want to spend more time with my family, we`re expecting a baby late December," Hrbaty told journalists.Hrbaty, nicknamed `Domino` and who reached a best ever world ranking of 12 in October 2004, won six ATP singles tournaments and was a member of the Slovakian team that reached the 2005 Davis Cup final.Hrbaty, Slovakian sportsman of the year in 2005, also won the Hopman Cup twice, in 2005 (with Daniela Hantuchova) and 2009 (with Dominika Cibulkova).
