Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister and SAD
patriach Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday turned 83 and was greeted
by party leaders, members of his ministry and people from all
walks of life on the occasion.
Governors of Punjab and Haryana, Gen(Retd) S F Rodrigues
and Jagan Nath Pahadia respectively, sent him bouquets and
wished him a long life.
Leaders and MLAs of the SAD-BJP alliance, ministers,
bureaucrats and people from different walks of life flocked
to Badal's residence to greet him.
Badal thanked the people for the love and affection
showered by them on him, a spokesman of the Chief Minister's
office said.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people to fully
support him in his endeavour to make the life of the common
man economically secure.
