Kushinagar: Eight persons, including a former BJP MLA, were today arrested for indulging in violence over a land dispute in Khaddar Bazar here, police said Friday.
Former MLA Shambhu Chowdhury and seven others were arrested yesterday when they clashed with locals over the land dispute, they said.
An FIR was filed in this regard against Chowdhury and others by Raju Tulsyan.
