According to an AFP report, the killed Palestinian boy`s name was Mohammed Khalil al-Anati and he was killed in Al-Fawwar refugee camp.
The report could prove inflammatory given the situation in Gaza, where more than 1900 have been killed in Israeli attacks.
A 72-hour ceasefire that sustained could not be renewed as the delegation from both warring sides could not reach common ground on a longer-term ceasefire deal.
After the ceasefire ended on Friday, the strikes continued on Saturday, with Israel accusing Hamas of restarting rocket fire. According to Israel, some 100 rockets have been fired since the end of the truce last Friday.

While Palestinian officials say 9 were kiled in Gaza as Israel renewed offensive.
Speaking in Israel, PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that the IDF will continue assault till all missiles were destroyed.
Israel launched Operation protective Edge on July 8 to halt Hamas rockets, however despite a month long war, there is no solution to the conflict in sight as Cairo truce talks have not yielded any conclusion yet.
The negotiators from Israel have left Cairo and refuse to participate in any truce talks until Gaza stops firing rockets into Israel.
Meanwhile, Palestinians negotiators have warned they too, would leave on Sunday if Israel did not attend without preconditions.
The recent month-long conflict was triggered by the death of three Israeli teens followed by a revege killing in which a Palestinian teenager was abducted and murdered.
