HSBC fires six employees for 'abhorrent' fake Islamic State-style execution video

London: Six employees of HSBC Bank were fired after they made a mock Islamic State-style execution video and posted it online.

The video showed one of the bankers wearing an orange jumpsuit and posing as a captive while kneeling on the ground while the others stood behind him holding a fake knife and dressed in balaclavas.

They even shouted phrases like 'Allahu Akbar' in the eight-second video, according to the Sun newspaper report.

HSBC UK Press Office Twitter account confirmed the development and tweeted, “Once we saw this abhorrent video released by @TheSun we took the decision to sack the individuals involved. We apologise for any offence.”

The video was made by the employees on a team building day and was posted online before deleting it.

But the screen shots of the clips were published by the newspaper by then.
