Journalist racially taunted as ‘black c**t’ on Sydney bus

A journalist had been racially abused and called a ‘black c**t’ on a Sydney bus, on which he was travelling with his daughter.

Sydney: A journalist had been racially abused and called a ‘black c**t’ on a Sydney bus, on which he was travelling with his daughter.
Describing the incident on Twitter, ABC News presenter Jeremy Fernandez said that he and his two-year old daughter were travelling in the bus, when he was abused and was told to go back to his country, News.com.au reports. Describing the incident as his own Rosa Parks moment, Fernandez, who did not leave his seat after the incident, said that his two-year old daughter also heard the racist insult. He added that it is distressing when a coloured man has to teach his children to hold their own against racial slur, even in this age. According to Fernandez, the driver of the bus had also stated that it is Fernandez’s fault for not moving. In one of the most recent racial attacks, Australian cage fighting competitor Gustavo Falciroli was the victim of an attack on a Melbourne train in 2012, with insults including threats to ‘cut’ the champion and ‘rape’ him and his family.
