Vatican City: While thousands were attentively listening to the speech delivered by Pope Francis at St Peter’s Square last week, a little boy went up to the stage, hugged the pope, sat on his chair and refused to leave despite being chased away by the security personnel.

Francis was delivering a speech during the celebration of Family Day when the boy came up, wearing a striped shirt, jeans and sneakers. He was part of a group of children sitting around the stage.

The boy’s identity has not been disclosed considering his privacy.

The pope showed patience and let the kid play around on stage.
