New York City: Having pulled off a stunning victory over Hillary Clinton, President-elect of the United States of America Donald J Trump on Wednesday said that it is time for all of America to come together to 'rebuild' the nation.
Addressing his supporters at his campaign headquarters, Trump said, “Sorry, to keep u waiting; complicated business...I just received a call from secretary Clinton. She congratulated us on our victory and I congratulated her and her family for a very hard fought campaign.”
“Hillary has worked very long and very hard for our nation and we owe gratitude to her for her service,” he said.
“It is time for us to come together as one united people. I would be President for all Americans and this is so important for me.”
“Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation,” he said amid loud cheers.
“America has tremendous potential, it's going to be a beautiful thing. Every American will have the opportunity to realise his full potential,” he added.
On his foreign policy, Trump said, “We will get along with all other nations willing to get along with us.”
“I want to tell the world community, that while we will keep America's interests first, we will deal with equality with everyone.”
On the challenges he faced, Trump said, “Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach. America will settle for nothing than the best.”
“While the campaign is over but our has just begun and I love this country.”
