According to website The Aviationist, a U.S. MQ-1 drone came close to being intercepted by an Iranian F-4 Phantom combat plane in March, but the Iranian aircraft stopped after a warning by an American pilot of the F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jet. The Washington Times quoted General Welsh, as saying that the Raptor pilot flew under the Iranian aircrafts to check out their weapons load without being noticed, and then called them and said `you really ought to go home`.
