New Delhi: Former top cop Kiran Bedi on Tuesday asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's to express regret for describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "a coward and a psychopath".

Bedi, who unsuccessfully contested the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket, tweeted: “A very regrettable comment. I hope he regrets it. It's leaving a very bad and sad feeling amongst people at large.”

The former Team Anna member's reaction came after CBI today raided the office of an officer of Delhi CM's secretary Rajendra Kumar in a corruption case that led the AAP chief to call PM Modi as a psychopath.

Kejriwal, however, claimed that his office was raided which was denied by the CBI as well as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Rajya Sabha where the opposition created an uprorar and forced a couple of adjournments.

The CBI said it did not raid Kejriwal's office but that of his secretary. A senior union minister said that Modi had "nothing to do" with the raid.

A CBI officer said that a case has been registered against Rajendra Kumar for alleged abuse of office to favour a particular firm in the last few years in getting tenders from Delhi government departments.
