Samsung has unveiled the new One UI Watch software at the MWC 2021 event. The upcoming software will be used in its upcoming Galaxy Watch portfolio. Notably, the One UI Watch will be available for Galaxy Watch on the new unified platform jointly built with Google.

 

"To unlock the full potential of these wearables, we`re leveraging our long legacy of mobile innovations and our partnerships with trusted industry leaders who have grown with us in our open ecosystem," said Patrick Chomet, EVP and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G

Global chipmaker Qualcomm unveiled the new Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G Mobile Platform which sports a host of features aimed at improving the smartphone’s performance.

Verizon showcased two robots that use 5G connectivity and mobile edge computing to communicate with each other at the MWC 2021. "When you have more than one robot on the floor, you run into a problem, as these are still just machines, and they can't naturally communicate with one another," Verizon's Chief Strategy Officer Rima Qureshi said.
