India also witnessed 839 new coronavirus-related deaths
India also witnessed 839 deaths and 90,584 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
The country's total coronavirus caseload has now increased to 1.33 crore, of which, 1.2 crore have recovered, whereas, 1.69 lakh have died of the virus.

Trajectory of active COVID-19 cases in India
India's total active count has now soared to 11.08 lakh. It now comprises 8.29% of the country's total positive cases.
A net incline of 61,456 cases was recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours.

Five states account for 70.82% of India's total active COVID-19 cases
Five states - Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala cumulatively account for 70.82% of India's total active COVID-19 cases.
Maharashtra alone accounts for 48.57% of the total active caseload of the country.

Ten states account for 86.41% of new COVID-19-related deaths
As per official data, daily COVID-19-related deaths continue to show an upward trend as 839 deaths were registered in the last 24 hours.
Ten states account for 86.41% of the new deaths and Maharashtra, the worst-hit Indian state, witnessed the maximum casualties (309), followed by Chhattisgarh (123 daily deaths).
On the other hand, ten states and UTs have not reported any coronavirus death in the last 24 hours. These are Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, India's daily new COVID-19 cases have continued to rise as the country reported 1,52,879 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
Ten states namely Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have shown a rise in the COVID-19 daily new cases. These states account for 80.92% of the new coronavirus cases.
Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 55,411, followed by Chhattisgarh at 14,098 and Uttar Pradesh at 12,748.

India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage achieves a landmark
India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has achieved a landmark of 10 crore vaccine doses with over 35 lakh doses being given in the last 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Cumulatively, 10,15,95,147 coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered through 15,17,963 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on Sunday (April 11, 2021).
These include 90,04,063 HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and 55,08,289 HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose, 99,53,615 FLWs (1stdose), 47,59,209 FLWs (2nddose), 3,96,51,630 1st dose beneficiaries and 18,00,206 2nd dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and 3,02,76,653 (1st dose) and 6,41,482 (2nd dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60.
