Many states and union territories have extended the COVID-induced lockdown or restrictions in view of coronavirus pandemic in the nation. 

Delhi

The Delhi government will start the process of unlock from Monday (May 31, 2021), while the lockdown has been extended till 5 am on June 7. 

The guidelines instruct companies to resume business but strict adherence to COVID-19 precautions and stagger shifts is necessary. Two activities including construction work and factories in Delhi will start functioning from Monday.

The Haryana government on Sunday (May 30, 2021) said the lockdown has been extended by one week till June 7 in view of the COVID-19 situation in the state.

“We have decided to extend COVID lockdown till June 7. Shops can now operate from 9 am to 3 pm. Shopkeepers must follow odd-even formula. Educational institutions will remain closed till June 15. Night curfew will continue from 10 pm to 5 am,” said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday (May 29) announced one more week extension of the statewide lockdown till June 9, to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The state has been under lockdown since May 8 following the sharp rise in coronavirus cases. The government had earlier extended statewide lockdown twice--on May 16 and May 23--after reviewing the situation.

The state-wide lockdown without any relaxations has been extended, by one more week, till June 7 to help break the chain of COVID-19 transmission, Chief Minister M K Stalin announced on Friday (May 28, 2021).

Chief Minister M K Stalin said that the decision was taken considering public good to rein in the pandemic spread. The Chief Minister further appealed to the people to cooperate with the government and stay indoors.

Puducherry

The Puducherry government on Saturday (May 29, 2021) extended the COVID-19 lockdown in the union territory till midnight of June 7. The decision was taken by the government in order to curtail the second wave of the virus in the Union Territory.

The union territory has been under lockdown since May 10, the COVID-19 restrictions were later extended on May 24 as well.

The Goa state government on Saturday (May 29) announced that it has extended the ongoing COVID-related curfew till June 7.

"Government of Goa has decided to extend the curfew till 7 am of 7th June 2021. The orders regarding the same shall be issued by respective District Collectors," the Goa Chief Minister’s Office tweeted. On May 17, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had announced a state level curfew in Goa from May 9 to May 23, amid a steep surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. The curfew was later extended to May 31.

The Punjab government on Thursday (May 27, 2021) extended the coronavirus restrictions in the state till June 10 after a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

The Amarinder Singh-led government had imposed extensive curbs, in addition to measures like a weekend lockdown and a night curfew to check the spread of COVID-19 infection. Earlier, the state government had extended the COVID-19 curbs till May 31.

CM Banerjee, on April 30, had decided to impose an indefinite prohibition on several things, including shopping malls, markets, restaurants and bars, gyms, and swimming pools, with immediate effect.

Rajasthan has extended lockdown till June 8.

Maharashtra has extended the lockdown-like restrictions till June 15.

Madhya Pradesh has announced separate unlock guidelines for districts. Weekend lockdown to continue beyond May 31.

Gujarat has extended night curfew in 36 cities of the state till June 4. Educational institutions, auditoriums, theatres, malls, community halls, water parks, spas, gyms, gardens and swimming pools, will remain closed in the cities.

Himachal Pradesh government has extended the coronavirus curbs till June 7 with some relaxations.
