Riding a cycle, Rahul Gandhi protests fuel price surge

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has attacked the BJP-led central government over the rising prices of petrol and diesel. (Text courtesy: PTI)  


Rahul accused the government of collecting Rs 10 lakh crore in taxes on petroleum products without giving any relief in prices to people.  


Rahul also took to Twitter and posted a video with various BJP leaders making statements on rising fuel prices when UPA was in power.  


He then accused the  BJP government of looting people in the name of fuel and asked why despite four years of being in power, the government which promised 'acche din' is silent.  


War of words between Congress and BJP leaders have intensified in the days leading up to the Karnataka Assembly elections - scheduled for May 12.
