In Pics: From NFL to Premier League, top five biggest sporting leagues in the world

Cricket's Indian Premier League is placed at number four on the list with revenue of media rights around $6.3 Billion for 2017-2022. It is the most-watched TV broadcast ever in India. The IPL is expected to jump up to the second spot after the media rights auction of 2023-27. 

 

National Football League (NFL) is the biggest sporting league in the world valued at $13 billion. The league contains 29 out of the 50 richest franchises including the most valuable franchise like Dallas Cowboys.

National Basketball Association (NBA) is the third biggest league on the list with TV broadcasters and brings more value at $2.6 billion each year. 

Major League Baseball (MLB) is the second biggest sporting league in the world with an annual income of around $10 billion which means each team’s profit of more than $300 million

 

Football's English Premier League is the 5th biggest sporting league in the world with a revenue of $5.3 Billion. It has been considered the toughest league competition in the world.
