Beawar: Nine people have been killed in a cylinder blast that took place in Beawar in Rajasthan. The blast occurred on Friday during a wedding ceremony in Nand Nagar in Beawar. 

The building where the cylinder was parked has also suffered major damages after the LPG gas cylinder exploded. Ajmer district collector Gaurav Goyal confirmed that the blast has severely damaged the building.

Women and children are also among those who have suffered injuries. Bodies of six people have been recovered while the others were injured are undergoing treatment, police confirmed. 

Two cars parked outside the building as well as adjoining buildings were also damaged in the blast, the police said.

The police are conducting rescue operation to ascertain if any other person is trapped under the debris. Police added that thirteen people are believed to be missing.
