New York: Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant underwent season-ending bone graft surgery Tuesday on his right foot, a procedure that could see him resume playing in four to six months.
Durant has not played since February 19. He underwent a procedure a few days later to ease soreness from a screw inserted into his foot last October to repair a broken bone at the base of his small toe.
Durant did not make his season debut until December 2 but played in 27 games, averaging 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
At 42-32, the Thunder rank eighth in the Western Conference, 2 1/2 games ahead of New Orleans in the fight for the final West playoff spot with 10 games to play.
