Age taking its toll on Tendulkar's footwork: GavaskarZeenews Sports Bureau

New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar reckons that age is getting the better of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar who was once again dismissed cheaply on the second day of the second Test match.

Gavaskar’s comment on Tendulkar not right: Syed Kirmani»I

Gavaskar while doing commentary on the second day of the second Test said that age is taking a toll on Tendulkar’s footwork.

Tendulkar who looked shaky throughout his innings on Day 2 finally perished to an in swinger from Bracewell which rattled the stumps.

Even in the first Test, Tendulkar couldn’t do much with the bat when he was bowled by Trent Boult for 19.

i don`t understand why everybody is after sachin, no one has the right to comment on sachin`s batting flaws.Let him sort out his issue and its a matter of time when everybody will see hundreds raining from the master`s willow. And secondly sunil gavaskar should rewind his own past when he was not able to perform against west indies in later part of his career.and sunil gavaskar was always a selfish batsman giving priority to his own record then team`s.He should look at his ODI record before speaking about hte master of 100 centuries.

i think days are gone when we use to say only sachin..youngsters today are very talented and past 10 years indian team is playing as a team..i think sachin should retire and he can teach cricket to youngsters as a coach or mentor..agreed he is classs player but that does not mean that he is reserved in indian cricker team for 100 years or years to come..lots of talented youngsters are awaiting their chances in indian cricket..legends like ganguly, dravid, vvs have retired so i think its time for sachin..

Sachin got his chance when he was 16. He must now leave it for others. Many cricketers like Dravid, Kumble, VSS could have still played another 3-4 years. Sachin had a great time and must look how Andrew Struss, Gillchrist took a decision.

I will cry the day he will retire. but we have to accept the reality. He is in poor form since last world cup. He also joined parliament and some other un-necessary activities which clearly affected his form. If he can score run, he can still play. But the way he is playing it very pathetic

Yeah... I sprt sir gvskrs` views abt the Master. No one can blame him so easily cause he is made 4 achiving fame, joy. No doubt, he is a class act but everyone has to go at the end of the day just like Rahul, Sourav,Vvs gone. It is true that team gets strength if there is SACHIN.Though my heart says Master will retire himself after playing the upcoming series against England and he should deserve a fairwell match for contributing his whole extraordinary unbelivable carrier for team india and to show the world what Sachin Tendulkar is..and means ..2..??

Guvaskar was a dead man when it comes to 50 over cricket lets forget t20...he was a loser in one day cricket.but in other side sachin is genius in all format of cricket. Guvaskar needs to bat for seven generation to be as good as sachin. His comments should not be taken seriously as he is a player who held almost all position in BCCI to make money.nobody likes to listen his comments as guvaskar speaks like a woman and his voice do not attract public like ravi sashtri or tony greg. He is too short in height as well as in intelligence to pass such comments on sachin. Jai hind jai sachin

No, he won`t. He may score 40 or 50 after another 6 - 7 innings
