Asia Cup 2016: Bangladesh's road to final

New Delhi: In the on-going Asia Cup T20, Bangladesh have kept their reputation of being of a 'tough side in home conditions' intact by reaching the final of the tournament.

On their way to the summit clash they stunned teams like Sri Lanka and Pakistan and threw them out of the Asia Cup.

Bangladesh will play the final against India on Sunday at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

Ahead of the summit clash, here are the highlights of Bangladesh's road to the final.

1st Match against India: In the opening encounter, Bangladesh faced a shameful defeat at the hands of India by 45 runs, when they didn't manage to chase a tricky total of 166 and bowled out for 121.

2nd Match against UAE: The Tigers made a comeback in the tournament by beating minnows UAE by 51 runs. Even after putting up a relatively low total of 133 in the match, Bangladeshi bowlers bowled their heart out to bowl out minnows for 82.

3rd Match against Sri Lanka: In the crucial tie against one of the sub-continent heavy weights Sri Lanka, spirited Bangladesh came out of their skins and beat Islanders by 23 runs. Instrumental performances by Sabbir Rahman (80) and Al-Amin Hossain (4-34-3) helped the hosts to upset Lanka and kept their hopes alive to reach the final.

4th Match against Pakistan: Even after having the most dangerous bowling line up in the tournament, gutsy Bangladeshi batsmen rose to the occasion and chased down the total of 129 to make it to the final.
