BANGLADESH Over: 40.2 II Score: 201/3 (Islam 50*, Rahim 16*) (WI: 199/10)
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim brings the winning runs with a boundary towards midwicket region. With this, Bangladesh have defeated West Indies in the first ODI by seven wickets to take 1-0 lead in the five-match series. Tamim Iqbal and Naeem Islam scored fifties to lead the comfortable chase with plenty of overs to spare.
West Indies captain won the toss and elected to bat first. They were allout for 199 as debutant Sohag Gazi took 4/29.

Nasir Hossain was the third Bangladeshi wicket to fall after being caught at point by Kieron Pollard off Russell. He scored 28(29b, 4X4). This should not affect their run chase as they are progressing along nicely unless West Indies bowler can conjure up something spectacular to stop the home team from chasing 200. Mushfiqur Rahim is the new man in.

Bangladesh have crossed the 150-run mark and are nearing an upset. They need another 50 runs to win the match with 20 overs and eight wickets remaining.
At this run rate, the match should be done and dusted by 40 overs.

For the fifth time (in a row) in as many innings, Tamim Iqbal crossed the fifty run mark. The southpaw looked in a hurry as he completed his half century with a biggie off Kemar Roach. In the same over he hit two more boundaries and ran a double milking 17 runs from it. He later fell to Sunil Narine after being caught by Pollard. He scored 58(51b, 4X8, 1X6).

A good start to the chase! The opening pair has added 58 runs. Haque has been watchful while Iqbal’s innings has been quite the opposite. He has hit six boundaries and a six in his knock of 40 runs so far. Haque, on the other hand, has three hits to the fence against his name.

Bangladesh have begun their innings chasing West Indian total of 199. Iqbal struck two boundaries in Rampaul’s third over towards midwicket and cover region. He had earlier launched Marlon Samuels for a biggie over extra cover.

WEST INDIES Over: 46.5 II Score: 199/10 (Narine 36, Gazi 4/29)
Sohag Gazi took four wickets to claim the best figures by a Bangladeshi bowler on debut in ODIs as West Indies were bowled out for 199 after electing to bat first.
It was the 57-run partnership between Narine and Rampaul for the ninth wicket that saved them from being bundled out under 150. Narine top scored for the Windies with 36 while Gazi was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/29.

West Indies were in danger of being bowled out under the score of 150 but Rampaul and Narine added 50 runs to take them to 179/8 after 40 overs.
Earlier, captain Darren Sammy fell to Mahmudullah while big hitting Russell was cleaned up by Razzak. Thomas became debutant Sohag Gazi’s third victim after being caught by Razzaq at long-on leaving Windies tottering at 133/8.

WEST INDIES Over: 24 II Score: 100/5 (Sammy 0*, Thomas 1*)
West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first in the first ODI of the five-match series against Bangladesh on Friday. The visitors were in trouble after losing half of their side at the score of 100 runs. Spinner Sohag Gazi took two wickets to push Sammy-led Windies team on the backfoot. The opening pair of Gayle and Simmons led a sedate start adding 48 runs for the first wicket before Murtaza trapped Simmons in front of the wickets. Gazi gave them the second blow in Gayle who scored 35 before departing for the pavilion.
Marlon Samuels was Gazi’s second victim after being caught by Mahmudullah. He left without disturbing the scoreboard.
Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo stemmed the flow of wickets adding 50 runs for the fourth wicket. The partnership came to an end after Pollard was caught at midwicket off Abdur Razzak. He scored 15. Just two runs were added to West Indies scoreboard when a mix-up meant that Bravo was run out leaving his team five wickets down. He scored 35.
