New Delhi: Officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) will meet on the sidelines of the two-day Chief Executives Committee (CEC) meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) beginning from Monday.
The two boards have been at loggerheads with the BCCI claiming it wasn’t consulted by the South African board over the scheduling of India’s tour to the country. However, according to reports, CSA has maintained that it had kept the BCCI in loop and released the schedule only after a number of revisions after the two boards had discussed the same. The BCCI has since announced that West Indies will be visiting India for a bilateral series that effectively means that if the South African tour does take place, it will be a shorter affair. BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel will be meeting CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat in Dubai and the two parties will hope to resolve the issue.
