BCCI to look into Nasser Hussain`s jibe on Indian fielders

New Delhi: BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla on Friday said that the board would look into the reported incident of commentator Nasser Hussain equating some of the Indian fielders to donkeys during the Twenty20 match between India and England in Manchester on Wednesday.
Shukla made these remarks while talking to a TV channel. He said that though he has come to know about the incident through the media, it was wrong on the part of Nasser Hussain if he has done so and the BCCI would further look into the matter. Hussain`s comments came after Parthiv Patel misjudged a catch which came from the top edge of Kevin Pietersen`s bat off Munaf Patel`s ball. Hussain said: “I would say the difference between the two side is the fielding. England are all-round a good fielding side. I do believe that India have few…3 or 4 very good fielders and one or two donkeys in the field still.” Hussain comments have already evoked criticism from India media some former players. Earlier too, an altercation had broken out between Ravi Shashtri and Hussain during commentary. Bureau Report
