Kolkata: The senior selection committee of CAB dropped veteran medium-pacer Ranadeb Bose from the 15-member one-day squad that will play in the East Zone
leg of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The 31-year-old who had a rare bad season didn`t find favour with the selectors as they preferred young Mohammed Sami Ahmed over Bose.
Bengal selection committee chairman of Sambaran Banerjee said the 32-year-old medium-pacer was not fit for the one-day scheme of things.
Stylish batsman Manoj Tiwary will lead the side while wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha will be his deputy. Rookie Soumya Ghosh has been included in the side which also has Bengal colts captain Sudip Chatterjee who made his List A
debut last season.
