Ranchi: According to an Intelligence Bureau alert, Indian skipper MS Dhoni features in the list of celebrities who are suspected to be on the radar of terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Muhammad.
Based on an IB letter to all state police chiefs warning of possible threats to celebrities, Jharkhand police have made elaborate security arrangements for Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
He was escorted by one jeep full of armed policemen of Doranda police station from the airport to his Harmu Housing Colony residence last week. Plainclothesmen have also been deployed around Dhoni`s residence and neighborhood.
According to sources, the terror outfits have given photographs of some known celebrities and political leaders to their cadre to help them identify the icons and target them.
IB officers said they are not taking any chances with regard to celebrities’ security.
