New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra was on Wednesday questioned by the Delhi Police in the IPL spot-fixing scandal for over 12 hours.
Though Kundra was tired after the quizzing but he praised the investigators saying they are the real heroes cleaning up cricket in India.
“Its been a long tiring day Kudos to Delhi crime branch Mr Sanjeev Yadav DCP, Mr Manishi Chandra ACP, Mr Srivastav CP, Mr MM Oberoi for their fantastic in depth operation into this whole spot fixing saga! These guys r the real hero`s cleaning up cricket in India! Thankyou guys,” Kundra posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter on Wednesday.
“A special mention to Inspector Tyagi whose real life encounters & experiences were eye opening a real super cop! In a funny way loved today,” he wrote.
A senior Delhi Police official refused to clear the air on Kundra, who said he owns 11.7 per cent stake in Rajasthan Royals, whether he is a "suspect or complainant", stating he was an "important person" needed for questioning.
Police sources claimed that Kundra was into betting but not into fixing. Their questioning was basicly into betting, police sources said.
