Delhi Ranji win will be slap in face of many in DDCA: Gautam Gambhir

New Delhi: Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir is keen to make the most out of Delhi's good form in the Ranji Trophy. He stated that if Delhi do win Ranji Trophy it will be slap in the face for many DDCA members.

In an exclusive interview with the Indian Express, Gambhir said that the goal for Delhi is to win the Ranji Trophy after getting no support from the DDCA. If Delhi wins the competition, Gambhir feels it will be a slap for many in the DDCA.

“Young kids in the team would look around and find that no one stood for us. No support from the association, from anyone, on any front. But that was an extra motivation for all of us to go there and win the Ranji Trophy. So yeah, we are topping the table, but the bigger goal is to win the Ranji Trophy. That will be a massive, massive slap in the face for a lot of people who haven’t done anything for cricket and yet have been on top posts in the DDCA,” said Gambhir to the Indian Express.
