He relied more on his near-perfect technique, almost limiting the chances to get out. It's not a coincidence that Bradman hit just six sixes in his Test career (5 vs England and 1 vs India).

Bradman is the only Aussie to have twice scored a century and a duck in the same Test.

In his first first-class game on December 16, 1927, Bradman scored 118 runs against South Australia on the Adelaide Oval ground. He was the 20th Aussie to score a ton on first-class debut.

He still owns the record for the maximum number of double centuries (12) in Tests.

It might sound shocking, but Bradman was never stumped in Test matches.

Bradman is the only Test batsman to score more than 5,000 runs against an opponent (5,028 vs England).

Bradman had joined the army in 1940 as a lieutenant. He was discharged in 1941 after suffering from fibrositis thrice.
