England vs Pakistan: James Vince given all clear as hosts name unchanged squad for fourth Test

Vince suffered an injury to the fourth or ring finger of his left hand while fielding in the slips on Sunday as England completed a 141-run win in the third Test to go 2-1 up with one to play in the four-match series.

London: James Vince was passed fit to play after England named an unchanged 13-man squad for next week`s fourth Test against Pakistan at The Oval.

Vince suffered an injury to the fourth or ring finger of his left hand while fielding in the slips on Sunday as England completed a 141-run win in the third Test to go 2-1 up with one to play in the four-match series.

Hampshire captain Vince was taken to hospital for a scan to assess the extent of his injury.

But later Sunday an England spokesman said there was no fracture or break in the finger, merely slight bruising, with Vince free to join the squad at The Oval.

"It was dislocated but it`s all fine (now)," the spokesman added. "It was relocated (put back)."

In addition to the XI that won at Edgbaston, England also kept Nottinghamshire paceman Jake Ball and Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid in a 13-man squad for the series climax in south London.
