Kruger`s airbrush scare ended modelling career

Diane Kruger made an exit from modelling as she became sick of airbrushing.

Los Angeles: Hollywood actress Diane Kruger made an exit from the world of modelling as she became sick of fashion magazines setting impossibly high standards of beauty for ordinary women. The `Inglourious Basterds` star began her career as a fashion model but later quit the job to pursue her acting ambition.
The 33-year-old actress said that she quickly became disillusioned with the modelling industry, because the glossy, airbrushed girls in the magazines are not a realistic reflection of female beauty, Interview magazine online reported. "I`ve got to tell you, the reason I stopped modelling was because I wasn`t pleased with trying to portray something that is impossible to reach," Kruger said. "Even when I do photo shoots now for films, I`m just not interested in trying to look my best all the time anymore. That pursuit of an impossible perfection seems ridiculous to me now. I`d rather show my vulnerabilities or my doubts than try to be something that no one is," she added. Bureau Report
