New Delhi: Powered by skipper Parthiv Patel's ton, Gujarat beat Delhi on Monday to clinch their maiden Vijay Hazare title.

Patel flayed the Delhi attack, scoring a 119-ball 105 with 10 boundaries.

Rujul Bhatt played a fine hand of 60 runs, while Chirag Gandhi remained unbeaten on 44 to help Gujarat post 273 in their 50 overs.

Navdeep Saini, Pawan Negi and Suboth Bhati picked up two wickets each for Delhi.

Gautam Gambhir's side failed to put up a fight, as they were bowled out for 134 in the 33rd over.

Only three Delhi batsmen got into double digits with Negi topscoring with 57.

Shikhar Dhawan scored 5, while Gambhir was dismissed for 9.

Youngster Unmukt Chand got a start (33), but failed to carry on for his side.

Former Indian pacer RP Singh was the star with the ball for the winners, as he scalped four Delhi wickets for 42 runs.

Though Axar Patel went wicketless, Jasprit Bumrah chipped in with a five-wicket haul.
