New Delhi: It is a well-known fact that Jasprit Bumrah picked up the art of bowling yorkers from Lasith Malinga.
The Gujarat pacer has impressed all with his ability to fire accurate yorkers in pressure situations.
Bumrah has said on record that the Sri Lanka skipper helped him learn this rather difficult art during their time with the Mumbai Indians.
However, Malinga has refused to take any credit for Jasprit's progress but admitted to helping him bowl yorkers.
“Bumrah approached me. He wanted to learn the art of bowling yorkers. I was more than happy to be by his side. We practised together, where he had always been intent for perfection. I gave him a few advices but in the end, credit goes to him for the progress,” he told the Indian Express.
