Here's what Anushka Sharma said about those who blamed her after Indian team’s losses

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma hit out at those who blamed her for India's losses last year.

When India toured Australia in 2015, Virat Kohli's lady love was often seen cheering her man on from the stands.

Even at the 2015 World Cup and at some matches in India, Anushka was present to support Virat.

Soon however, she began receiving flak on social media networks after the team's losses.

At one point, even Virat slammed trolls for lacking compassion and humiliating Anushka.

The 'Sultan' actress finally broke her silence and spoke about the attacks on her during an interview with the Indian Express.

“I have been trolled for other reasons as well. I don’t have a reaction to it. I am not going to react to a bunch of cowards sitting in front of their computers screens who are insecure and have sh*t idea of themselves. They think so lowly of themselves that they feel ki kisi aur ko neeche girayenge toh unki aukaad badegi. Aise logon ke upar kya react karu,” said Anushka.

“I just feel sorry for them. Initially when it started, I thought what is going on and I might have felt bad then. Today, I feel sorry for them. I also responded today to Karan Johar’s blog on trolls saying that ignorance is bliss but being aware of what people are saying about you and being unaffected is brave. And like what Karan said in his last line, ‘I am just nicer than you’, I believe that is how it is. You just have to be the bigger person,” she further added.

After a rocky phase, it now appears as though Virat and Anushka are back together.

India's Test skipper has now invested in a plush Mumbai property that will be delivered to him in a couple of years.
