HILARIOUS! Indian Twitter roasts Sanjay Manjrekar for siding with Piers Morgan

New Delhi: British TV journalist Piers Morgan has been at the centre of a huge social media storm this week.

The controversial 51-year-old found himself on the receiving end of an onslaught from Indian Twitter after his remarks about the country's celebrations of two Olympic medals.

Apart from the general public, those hitting back at Morgan included public personalities like author Chetan Bhagat and former India opener Virender Sehwag.

While majority agreed with the views expressed by the duo, there however were some exceptions.

One of those contradicting the views of Sehwag and co was former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar.

According to the Mumbaikar, lashing back at the likes of Morgan wasn't the ideal response. He in fact advocated that India as a country must introspect about its Rio 2016 shortcomings.

The popular cricket presenter's tweet however wasn't met with encouraging opinions. Indian Twitter was yet again in top form, as it roasted Manjrekar for siding with Piers.
