Irfan`s impact would be missed in T20 World Cup: Hafeez

Islamabad: Pakistan Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez has said that his team will miss towering pacer Mohammad Irfan in the T20 World Cup as the fast bowler has not recovered from a hip injury.

According to Sport24, Hafeez said the team would miss the pacer`s impact as his first two overs could be lethal. However, Hafeez feels that fast bowler Umar Gul and left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar are good replacements for Irfan. He also backed the selector`s decision to include wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik in the team. Irfan who was injured during the limited-overs series against South Africa in October, will also miss the Asia Cup, followed by the T20 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh next month, the report added.
