England cricketers visit Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Dharamsala
Ahead of their fifth one day international (ODI) match against India, players of the touring England cricket team visited Tsuglagkhang, a Buddhist monastery here on Friday.

Dharamsala: Ahead of their fifth one day international (ODI) match against India, players of the touring England cricket team visited Tsuglagkhang, a Buddhist monastery here on Friday.
The sight of English players lent great excitement among cricket fans and monks alike. Apart from autograph hunters, a good number of fans were eager to have their photographs clicked by the shutter-bugs.
Talking to the media persons, Welfare Officer of Tibetan government in-exile, Sonam Dorjee, said the Tibetans in the town were delighted by the presence of the England team.
He also mentioned that many monks are great cricket buffs and follow the game with immense interest.
“Many Tibetan monks love cricket match, whenever they see Indian IPL (Indian Première League) match, then there is great huge enthusiasm among Tibetan youth, so we wish both Indian and England team best of luck for the next match,” said Dorjee.
Another elated cricket fan, Manish, said that people are very keen to see players of both England and Indian teams play a lively game in the ODI to be played on January 27.
“We are feeling good. We are looking to get our photographs clicked with them. All of my friends have come together. All of us have taken off from our offices to see the match in Dharamsala,” said Manish.
India thrashed England by five wickets in the fourth ODI match at Mohali in northern state of Punjab on Wednesday, clinching the five-match series by 3-1.
