In a star crazed world where B-town celebrities are worshipped almost literally, meeting one’s screen idol is a dream come true! Well, I would certainly call it my providence which ensured I was at the right place at the right time, while meeting the heartthrob of the nation – the dashing hunk of Bollywood – John Abraham.
The debonair star wooed the crowds at the capital as he came looking all chic and savvy for a promotional event. Wearing a body hugging white T-shirt, trousers and coolers John looked every bit HOT. With girls swooning at the mere sight of the actor, the crowd went berserk and asked John to remove his T-shirt, the dimpled actor said, “See, that was in a movie. Otherwise I am very very shy...Well, if I take-off my T-shirt, then what will I wear.”
On a question about the actor’s fabulous body, in an exclusive chitchat, John said it’s all because of “eating healthy food and a good workout session”.
Coming to films, when John was enquired about his upcoming flicks, especially the much-hyped ‘New York’ that reportedly has the actor in a ‘Full Monty,’ John refrained from making any further comments and asked the people to watch the film.
When solicited about the recent multiplex quagmire, the actor quipped, “I am looking forward to see the multiplex rift ends”.
Finally, when prodded about his advice for today’s youth, the sporty actor stated, “don’t do drugs, stay safe and eat healthy.”
The event that brought John Abraham to Delhi on a Sunday afternoon was Diet Pepsi’s ‘Go Play John + You’ mass work-out session.
While a short drizzle was unable to dampen the spirits of young ones assembled to meet their screen idol, it certainly played a spoilsport by getting the actor delayed in reaching the venue.
Nevertheless, once when the hot hunk of an actor arrived, the rapturous crowd was thrilled to meet its idol and enjoy a mass work out session while jiving to the beats of music. With the amphitheatre echoing with fans chanting ‘We want John, we want John,’ the handsome hunk ensured he did not displease his enthusiastic fans and soon took the stage!
Hoping that John had a time of his life in Delhi, in all, Diet Pepsi’s ‘Go Play John + You’ was a successful event where a total of 2,65,000 calories was burnt during the show and an equivalent amount of rupees was donated to a non-profit organisation ‘Conserve’ to generate ecological awareness among the youth.
