Mohali: Shikhar Dhawan who was declared Man of the Match, for his knock of 187 in the first innings of the Mohali Test, has said that getting to represent India was a dream come true for him.
The left hander who made history by becoming the fastest centurion on debut stole the show and set up a win for the hosts with his belligerent knock.
Dhawan’s knock included 33 fours and 2 huge sixes. He also said that he was nervous initially but gained confidence once he got into rhythm.
He also gave credit to the way fellow opener Vijay played and said that he wanted to stay in the crease for as long as possible and did not want to throw his wicket away.
