``Scapegoat`` Lyon hits back at Oz selectors for Test dumping	Sydney: Nathan Lyon has broken his silence for the first time after getting axed from the Australian Test team after an average performance against India in the Hyderabad Test, and the off spinner also rebuffed selectors`` claims he has technical issues that require urgent rehabilitation Lyon said he felt no need to make drastic changes and has never been more confident in his ability as an international bowler especially after taking the wicket of batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar in the first Test, the Herald Sun reports.

There is a sentiment Lyon was made the scapegoat for Australia`s first-Test loss in Chennai, as despite taking a third of Australia`s 12 wickets, including big-name trio Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag, he was jettisoned for Hyderabad in favour of spin pair Xavier Doherty and Glenn Maxwell.

Explaining the demotion, coach Mickey Arthur felt elements of Lyon`s bowling needed refinement, but the shunned tweaker hit back at suggestions he has some critical technical flaws. However, Lyon said to be honest, he thought they came out all right in Chennai, adding to bowl Tendulkar through the gate you must be doing something right.

Lyon added he was quite happy with that, and he went for a few runs here and there, but bowling against the best batsmen in the world in their conditions, they were obviously going to come hard at me playing one spinner in the side.

Lyon added he has worked hard in the nets and he is feeling confident in my own bowling, adding the technical stuff is all the same, and he hasn`t changed anything from when he first started bowling for Australia since he was 16.

Lyon said he was given no detailed explanation for his demotion but has copped it on the chin, and he also dismissed suggestions his confidence had been dented by Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni`s brutal attack on him in the first Test.
