New Delhi: As the four-match Test series between India and Australia came to an end, Australia are set to host a Triangular One Day series.

In the upcoming limited over series, along with India and Australia, England are the third team.

The high-profile series is to commence from January 16, when England will lock horns with Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

India will play their opening match of the series against Australia on January 18 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

It's a crucial ODI series for all three teams ahead of the ICC 2015 World Cup, starting next month.

Timing and venues of the series are quite apt for both the visiting teams – India and England, as their players will get time to acclimatise themselves, before the biggest cricketing extravaganza kicks off.

If India and Australia are looking solid as an ODI units, England too have a balanced side, with a few match-winners.

MS Dhoni will lead the Indian side in the series, where all three teams will play four matches each, excluding the finals.

In the absence of regular skipper Michael Clarke, George Bailey will lead the Australian pack, whereas, Eoin Morgan will captain the English side.

In the recently concluded Test series, Australian pitches hardly helped the pacers, and result of that, batsmen from both the teams broke many batting records. If we go by this, then one can expect run-feast in the ODI series as well.

Final of the series will be played at Western Australia Cricket Assosiation Ground, Perth on February 1.
