Over 46: Raina was clean bowled by Xavier Doherty as India stare at defeat. Scored 38 off 30 balls. India 243/5 after 47 overs. Over 45: Dhoni and Suresh Raina steadied Indian chase after Gambhir`s departure and completed 50 runs partnership in the process. India were 40 runs away from victory with 30 balls to go. India were 230/4 at the end of the over. Over 41: Indians were 68 runs away from the victory with six wickets in hand at the end of the over. Over 34: Australians got their much needed breakthrough. Gautam Gambhir fell short of a century by 8 runs. McKay trapped Gambhir before wicket. He departed scoring 92 off 111 balls. India were 178/4 after 34 overs. Over 32.2: Rohit Sharma failed to convert the good start. Fell after a poor shot towards long off where he was caught by Starc. His 31 runs off 41 balls included one four and one six. Over 26:India need another 140 runs to beat Australia as they reach 130/2 after 26 overs. Australia eying for a breakthrough as Gambhir looked well set. Gambhir stood at 69 with a good strike rate of 82.14. Over 20.1:100 runs for India with Gambhir and Rohit Sharma on the crease. Over 18.5: Gambhir completed his half century with a boundary off McKay. Over 18.1: Kohli was caught at cover by Forrest when trying for a big hit off McKay. That brought an end to the 38-run partnership between Gambhir and Kohli. Scored 18 off 28 balls. Overs 5-9.1: SEHWAG GONE for 20 runs!!! A fuller from Clint McKay brought the curtains down on Sehwag`s innings. Gave a simple catch to Hussey at point. India 52/1 after 10 overs. Overs 5-9: A Gambhir boundary to the deep extra cover brought India the first FIFTY runs. Zaheer fired a full to Hussey, who clipped it in the air low to the right of Sehwag at square leg. He scored 72 off 76 balls. Over 42.4: Fifty-run partnership for Hussey and Christian (51 from 44 balls). David Hussey got inside the line to a well tossed up delivery and went inside out over extra cover for a boundary in the fourth ball of the over. Australia were 230 for 4 at the end of the over. Overs 38 - 39: A 300 or above total looked easy as Australians reached the 200-run mark with the loss of 4 wickets in the 39th over with Hussey (58) and Christian (15) on the crease at the end of the over. Forrest 40 and Hussey 26. Over 25: Australia reached 118 for the loss of 3 wickets after 25 overs with Forrest and David Hussey looking strong on the crease. Over 20.4: Australia 102/3. Debutante Forrest cut a short and wide delivery into the gap between cover and short point to the boundary. Over 17.5: MIchael Clarke OUT!! A slow delivery from Umesh Yadav did the trick for India. Australia`s danger man, who moved wider to the on-side, had to reach out for the wide off delivery. A bottom edge took the bails off the captain. He scored 38 runs off 43 balls. Over 13.4: 151 kph!! Umesh Yadav kept up the pace and often clocked over 150 kph. One particular delivery crossed 151 kph in the fourth ball of the 14th over. Over 9.2: WARNER DEPARTS: India`s good show on the field continued. Warner punched a Vinay Kumar delivery outside off at backward point. He continued it in the next over too by hitting two consecutive boundaries off Vinay Kumar. Overs 4-5: Australia started off cautiously, and interestingly, was the best for them in the series so far. They reached 27 for the loss of 1 wicket after 5 overs. Over 3: OUT!! Ponting was caught by Virat Kohli. Vinay Kumar got the early wicket. This was full and swung. Ponting was late to cover for the swing and ended up slicing it in the air to Virat Kohli at point. The move to bring Ponting early back fired for the Aussies as the former captain left the crease with 14 runs on the board. He scored 6 runs off 14 balls. Over 1: For a change former Australian captain Ricky Ponting came up in the order to open the innings alongside David Warner.
